Frost and temperature drops in spring represent the main challenge for world agriculture.
In Europe, an intense increase in spring frosts has been registered in the last decade: these affect all of Europe and in particulr the Balcanic area, even though climate change is currently bringing a general rise of temperatures.
At this time of year, fast temperature drops, thermal inversions in the bottom of valleys and differences in temperature between day and night can cause irreversible damage to sensitive crops such as stone fruit trees, which are currently flowering, or pome fruits, olive trees and horticultural crops with a spring-summer cycle.
There is no doubt that the events observed in the last few years represent a high risk for agricultural productions: however, it is possible to contrast these risks with efficacy thanks to targeted interventions.
In order to prevent and face the severe damage that could be caused by the temperature drops forecasted in the next few days, our strategy, which can be used also in organic farming, involves:
BEFORE TEMPERATURE DROP – TO PREVENT DAMAGE:
Nutrigreen AD 3-4 l/ha + Oligogreen 1 kg/ha
AFTER THERMAL STRESS – FOR IMMEDIATE VEGETAL-PRODUCTIVE RECOVERY
Nutrigreen AD 5 l/ha
